Varney Wines FAQs

Varney Wines is open regularly for tastings Friday - Sunday, 11am - 4pm.

Varney Wines is conveniently located at the Gateway to McLaren Vale, just 30 mins from Adelaide::

Bookings are preferred to help us provide the best possible experience, but walk-ins are welcome. Booking can easily be made here.

Our guided structured tasting through our premium wine range costs $15 per person. This is redeemable by joining the Vino Varney Wine Club.

We also offer our Barrel to Glass: Grenache Tasting Experience which costs $80pp. Find out more about this experience here.

While our Structured Tastings are suitable for groups of up to six guests, we welcome larger groups to enjoy our wines and unique location.

Our Tasting Room does not have a restaurant, but we do offer a selection of locally sourced shared snacks for guests to enjoy with our wines while taking in our scenic views. Please see the snacks menu here.

We offer premium wine tastings and have a working winery onsite. For the safety and enjoyment of our guests we are an 18+ venue.

We do offer baby changing facilities for young babies.

Yes. Dogs are welcome on our verandah and outdoor areas, but must be on a lead at all times.

Please be aware, our venue is not gated or fenced.

Absolutely. We are dedicated to creating an accessible and inclusive experience for all guests.

We have accessible entry and accessible toilet facilities.

Yes, the Varney Wines Tasting Room and Cellar Door has a wood operated fireplace that is used throughout the Winter months to keep warm.

Yes, the Varney WInes Tasting Room is available to hire for celebrations, birthdays, EOY work events, corporate tastings.
