The ‘Entrada’ range of wines are inspired by winemaker Alan Varney’s time in the small Portuguese town of Entradas, in Alentejo, where he lived a vintage in 2017.

“Early picked bush vine Grenache from the Blewitt Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale provides red berry aromatics, a touch of dried herb, and a textural mid-palate leading to a vibrant, long, and dry finish.” - Alan Varney, Winemaker

Sourced from 60+ year old bush vine planted on the sandy slopes of Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale.

Crushed and pressed in to stainless steel tank for cold settling prior to a long slow cold ferment with a Champagne derived yeast strain. Approximately 20% wild fermented in seasoned French Barriques to build texture and mid-palate weight. Fermented bone dry. Contains minimal sulphites.

    2023 Vintage

Ranked #2 Rosé in South Australia by The Real Review.

91 Points - Stuart Knox, The Real Review.

    2021 Vintage

Rated #1 in the Rosé Category in Drink Easy Awards

92 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
“A Blewitt Springs resourced for grenache and it’s 70 years old. Some wild ferment, the rest not, does its conversion in stainless, matures a bit in barrels.

Pretty colour. Right on in that regard. Strawberry and raspberry scents, light spice, a bit of vanilla cream too. Fleshy in the palate but dry, chalky finish and zesty acidity keeps things nice and perky. Great red berry fruitiness to taste, just on the cusp of ripe and sweeter. Very attractive.”

    91 Points - Nick Stock,
“Sourced from Blewitt Springs, this is fresh, pure and vibrant with strawberry and light peach aromas and plenty of florals, too. The palate has a sleek, gently fleshy feel, carrying strawberry and light peach flavors. Drink now. Screw cap.”

This dry wine pairs beautifully with a Summer salad and makes great picnic wine. Lighter meals including fish and chicken, also match this wine well.
